If you do anything online you probably noticed Google’s new logo was revealed last week. There’s been quite a bit of chatter about it in the design world, with everybody having their own opinion.
There has been a slow, almost casual, shift in logo design over the past couple of years. Designers have been eschewing the classic serif fonts in favor of slab-serif or sans-serif fonts. Here are some more logos—both national and local—that have made the shift to flatter designs in recent years.
